He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Atkinson and Alvaretta Atkinson (Smith); his sister Jane Stone; and his son Thomas. He is survived by: his former wives, Dorothy Sorlie and Pamela Menz; and his children, Susan Schmitz (Mike) and Michael Atkinson (Anita). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for the Chetek Food Shelf or Chetek Lakes Protection Association.
