He is survived by: his daughters, Tabitha Turner (Edwin) and Tiffany Thalacker (Jordan); his grandson Little Buddy Joseph Turner; his siblings, Val Thalacker, Cheryl Srozinski (Chris) and David Thalacker (Linda); and his uncle Neil Thalacker. He is also survived by many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

“So sorry to hear of gail's passing. From the hunting camp to many discussions of the packers and vikings, we always enjoyed our time with gail. I had driven gail and carol to the emergency delivery of gail when he was born, so we go back a long way. We recently shared the story of the fast ride from halstad to crookston. I'm sure gail never had an enemy, loved by us and many . May he rest in peace bruce and shirley, the families of craig and doug thalacker, and the susan thomas family”
