He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Sr. Plante and Adelaide Plante; his brothers, Gary, Bruce Jr. and William Plante; his siblings-in-law, Pete, Timothy Neary, Ruth Neary, Barbra Henderson and Kathleen Gallagher; and also, Dr. Richard and Winifred Neary.

He is survived by: his wife Mary "Eileen" Plante; his children, Michelle Wilson (Van), Aimee Fredrickson (Bret), Kathy Williamsen (Nathan) and Craig Jr. Plante (Melanie); his grandchildren, Erin, Libby, Brendan, Nolan, Charlie, Jack and Colin; his siblings, James Plante (Margaret) and MaryJo Buettner (Dane); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Wyn Kaeding (Alan), Hugh Gallagher and Dr. Michael Neary.
