He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schairer and Iremina Schairer (Linden); his son Robert, Jr.; his father-in-law Earl Heider, Sr.; his siblings, Jean, Rose Schairer and Paul Schairer; and his siblings-in-law, Joanne Schairer, Debbie Schairer and Ed Habersetzer.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Marie Heider; his daughters, Michelle Brandt (Dean) and Laurie Bunkelman (Anthony); his grandchildren, Brianna, Mallory, Andrew, Devin, Tyler and Ashley; his mother-in-law Marie Heider; his siblings, Ivan Schairer, Virginia Habersetzer, Marian Kreif (Richard), Jacob Schairer, Julia Zimdars (Gerhardt), John Schairer (Kathy) and Irma Schairer (family: Catherine Osier, Adam Elert, Jacob Elert, Matthew Elert, Stephanie Meyers); and his siblings-in-law, Don, Cyndi Heider, Diane Shreves, Earl, Kim Heider, Jr., Richard and Kathy Heider.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Lucas Lutheran Church.
