She was predeceased by: her parents, Della Mitchell (Hendrickson) and Bernard Mitchell; her daughters, Julie Ann Nikolay-Meracle (Bob) and Lorie Jill Nikolay-Rattmann (Gary); her cousin John Schellkopf (Nancy); and her aunt Dorothy Schellkopf (Darrell).

She is survived by: her sons, Bernard Nikolay (Karen) and Daniel Nikolay; and her grandchildren, Erica Lowrey, Aimee Schroeder, Anthony Lowrey (Katie), Ashley Lowrey, Ryan Nikolay (Marie), Courtney Nikolay, Alisa Rattmann-Santiesteban (Alfredo), Anna Nikolay, Jay Nikolay and John "Jack" Nikolay.
