He was predeceased by: his father Neal Bakken; his grandparents, Torlief, Ferolyn Bakken, William and Ruby Olson; and his nephew Hans Fredrickson.

He is survived by: his mother Sue Bakken (Olson); his daughter Tucy of Atlanta, GA; his siblings, Becky Fredrickson (Bob) of Burnsville, MN, Rachael Bakken of Lake Mills, WI, Jennie Nelson of Cambridge, WI, Heidi Jenness (Dan) of Edgerton, WI, Rev. Eric Bakken (Ramie) of Cambridge, WI and Peter Bakken (Lisa); and his great-nephews, Riley and Oliver. He is also survived by many other nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
