He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Estele and Vlasta Sparks (Novak); his wife Christel; his brother Frank Sparks; his grandson Nathan Sparks; and his pets, Sasha and Bandit.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Shelby Marie Sparks of Mayville; and also, Caryn Adams (Mark) of Mayville, Rachael Moon Taylor, June Witthun and Joanna Lessor. He is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
