He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Slechta and Shirley Slechta; and his siblings, Karen Reske (Clyde), Timothy Slechta, Steven Slechta and Marcy Slechta.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn M. Pirk; his children, Michael Slechta (Amy) and Kim Illges; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary Slechta, Valerie and Steven Illges; and his brother Jamie Slechta. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
