He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Penna and Beatrice Penna; his in-laws, Beverly and James Atherton; and his son-in-law Tim Morgan.
He is survived by: his daughter Morgan; his wife Diane; his children, Jeff Penna (Jenny) and Rachel Reynders (Joe); his grandchildren, Kyan, Ezra, Rhys Reynders, Hailey, Addison and Aiden Penna; his niece Dianna McKinney (Nick); his friends, Judy Mohr (late Jeff), Erika Mohr, Arabella, Karl Mohr and Bill Clement; and also J. T. McKinney. He is also survived by family members, canine companions, and friends.
