She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Gilbertson and Ardeth Gilbertson (Fagerness); and her aunts and uncles, Victor Gilbertson (Ethel), Arnold (Betty), Pete Gilbertson (Delores), Merton (Beverly), Stan Fagerness and Orva Pfeiffer (Jerry).

She is survived by: her husband Chuck; her children, Shanna Rae (Jen) and Nathan; her granddaughters, Margaux Ellen and Dagny Jules; her sister Glenda Smith (Jeffrey); her aunts, Sharon McVey (Allen) and Carol Witzeling; her brother-in-law Jon Torgerson (Barbara); her nephews, Quenten Brown (Jen), Christopher and Eric Torgerson (Kinsley); her adoptive daughter Chanteil (Will); and her close friend Gunnar.
