He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Goodbear and Exilda Goodbear (Waukon); his wife Cleo Goodbear; his son Robert Goodbear; and his siblings, Dorothy Goodbear, John Goodbear, Greg Goodbear, Dan Goodbear and Georgia Goodbear.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie Goodbear (Sara), Sampson Funmaker (Shandiina), Joshua Goodbear (Amanda), Michael Miles (Heidi), Naomi Goodbear, Sequoia Garvin (Greg) and Sarina Falcon (Gabriel); his siblings, Bill Goodbear (Carlatta), Mike Goodbear (Susan) and Roberta Goodbear; his nephews, Isiah Funmaker, John Holst Jr., Patrick Houghton (Dana) and Forrest Funmaker (Rosalind); and his grandson Damon Scott. He is also survived by many other grandchildren, relatives and friends.
