He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Weitzel and Burnetta Weitzel; his wife Mary Ann Weitzel; his siblings, Raymond Weitzel, Della (Weitzel) and Eleanora Lewis (Weitzel); and his brother-in-law Roy Luther.

He is survived by: his sons, Adam Weitzel (Renee Weitzel) and Aric Weitzel (Jessica Smith); and his granddaughters, Melanie Weitzel, Miranda Weitzel and Alizebeth Weitzel.
