He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Alwin and Mabel Alwin (Goerks); his sisters, Eva Alwin, Theresa and Hoehn; his son Otto Alwin; and his son-in-law Tom O'Flahrity.
He is survived by: his wife Margot P. Goos (Germany); and his children, Barbara O'Flahrity (David Witthuhn) of Reedsburg, Steven Alwin of North Freedom and Peter Alwin (Kristi Leeser) of Baraboo. He is also survived by grandchildren, and one great grandson.
