He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Effinger and Geraldine "Jerre" Effinger (Nettland); his parents-in-law, Delbert and Phyllis Jacobson; and his brother John Effinger.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Jacobson; his great-uncle Jim; his children, Mike Effinger (Laura) and Kris Prechtel (Glenn); his brother Phil Effinger; his grandson Alec Effinger (Alana); his great grandchild Graham; and his sisters-in-law, Ann Effinger, Nancy Cummings (Tim) and Paula Hill. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, The Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin or a charity of your choice.
