He is survived by: his godchildren, Erin Hughes and Marcus Seevers; his nieces and nephews, Jared Reigel, Jessa Reigel, Nate Borchardt, Ron Schill and Mike Lieble; his wife Joyce Nikolai; his children, Katie Haupt (Maria) and Jacob Haupt; his grandson Leo Edward Haupt; his pet Frankie; his siblings, Cathy Seevers (Dennis) of Sherry, Chris Thayer (Pat) of Eau Claire, Kim Hughes (Rick) of Byron, IL, Mark Haupt (Sue) of Goodyear, AZ and Alan Haupt (Debra) of Arpin; and also, Jean Eggett (Cliff), Betty Nikolai (Tom), Jim Nikolai (Pam), Karen Gordee (Harry), Kris Martin (Pat) and John Nikolai (Anne).
