She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Gerber and Betty Gerber (Blodgett); her former husband Jim Mueller; her niece Ashley Heinen; and her pet Taffy.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Schaefer and Jason Schaefer (Lori); her daughter-in-law Joy Schaefer; and her siblings, Cara Rogers (Mark), Robert Gerber (Patricia), Mary Heinen (Kit) and Mark Gerber (Shawn Stib). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
