He was predeceased by: his spouse Linda Peterson. He is survived by: his children, Deanne Zwart (Eric) and Carl Carter-Schwendler (Karen); his grandchildren, Zak Carter-Schwendler and Zoe Carter-Schwendler; and his stepgrandchildren, Jack Zwart, Thomas Zwart and Sophie.
