She is survived by: her mother Rosemary Derenne; her husband Melvin Mertens; her children, Melvin Mertens, Jr. (Jil), Philip Mertens (Dina), Paul Mertens (Desiree), Melissa Mertens and Melanie Schuler (Carl); her grandchildren, Josh Mertens (Mallory), Alex Mertens (Melissa), Zach Mertens (Stephanie), Jordan Mertens (Maria), Jerad Mertens, Sydney Mertens, Mitchel Mertens, Lexi Krueger, Alyssa Schuler, Mayson, Asher Mertens, Lance Mertens and Kyleah Krueger; her siblings, Cecilia Jossart (Dennis), Dolores Jeanquart (Jerry), Rita Price, James Derenne (Jeannene), Jean Winters (Dave), Cathy Fameree (Randy), Andrew Derenne, Frank Derenne (Debbie), Mike Derenne (Brenda), Charlotte Everard (Randy) and Vicki Schmelzer (Buck); her sister-in-law Marie Collins; her uncle Julius Vandenack; and her aunt Dorothy Mancheski. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
