He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Schmidt and Margaret Schmidt (Gallow); his siblings, Audrey Meyer, Mary Ellen Schmidt and Wayne Schmidt; his parents-in-law, Willard and Orel Bellin; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Meyer, Derrold Bellin, Dennis Bellin, Dave Kuba and Shelba Kuba.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon (Bellin); his sister Elaine Bartel (Tom); his siblings-in-law, Judy Schmidt and Duane Bellin (Judy); his godchildren, Sherrie Kent, Steve Schmidt, Andrea Bartel, Dan Kuba and Laurie Slomski; his nephew Robert Gass; and his friend Laurie W.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund is being established.
