He was predeceased by: his father James W. Ashley, Sr. of Tonawanda; and his sister Deena Michaels of Amherst. He is survived by: his mother Frances Ashley, Sr. (Mariea) of Tonawanda; his wife Kathleen Potter Ashley; his daughter Genevieve Shepard (Scott); his grandson David Shepard of Portland, Oregon; and his siblings, Dawn Abate of North Tonawanda, Kari Ashley of Williamsville and Daniel Ashley of Tonawanda.
