He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Hastings and Hildred Hastings. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Hastings; his children, Debra L. Hastings Marthaller of Spokane and Dale (Michele Hastings) of Newport; and his stepdaughters, Cheryl Sample-Reese (Gary) of Cusick and Becky Walrath (Ray) of Usk. He is also survived by numerous relatives from Utah and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, family and friends.
