Robert Harold Krier Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Harold Krier (Tumwater, Washington), born in Bismarck, North Dakota, who passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry A. Krier and Elizabeth A. Krier (Tshider); his wife Marilyn Kjer (Cooper); his siblings, Cal Krier (Carol) of Issaquah, WA, Al Krier (Shirley) of San Diego, Mary Jane Krier and Rosemary Erickson; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Erickson (Harriet) and Bill Fuller.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Susan), Richard and Marshall (Carrie); his grandchildren, Sean, Matthew (Tara), Joshua (Brittany), Jeffrey (Brigitte) and Jennifer Hill (Brandon); and his great grandchildren, Henry, Nathan, Easton, Kason and Charlotte.

After a seven-year effort to save the bridge, he and Craig co-authored "The McMillin Bridge: Preservation of a Unique Engineering Treasure," published in the March 2017 Historic Bridge Foundation Newsletter.
