He was predeceased by: his father Don Earl Liss; and his wife Deborah Liss. He is survived by: his mother Evalyn Jane Liss (Garman); his friends, Bill W. and Earl; his daughter Kendra Jane Liss; his son-in-law Jacob Donovan; and his brother Eric L. Liss. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
