He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Griggs and Florence Griggs; and his wife Helen Griggs (Hagglund). He is survived by: his children, Renee Dukes (Steve), Scott Griggs (Kristi) and Perry Griggs (Noemi). He is also survived by nine grand children, and many great grandchildren.

“Dear Family, I just now learned of Orlin's passing. This is Bob Hosmer. Orlin and Helen have been very long time friends of mine, but have lost contact since I married again and moved to Alberta, Canada. My sincerest and deeply felt condolences to each of you whom I've also known. I remember when Orlin accepted Christ back when Maple Park Lutheran was just getting started with their first pastor. My last contact with Orlin and Helen was about 2015/16 where we did dinner at a friends Home.”
