It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Kinder of Stanwood, Washington, born in Oakland, California, who passed away on February 19, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Owen and Charlotte Kinder; his siblings, Bud Kinder (Grace), Alice Bowie (Bob) and Isabelle Hoffman; his aunts, Nettie O'Connor and Alice Dierks (Win); and his brother-in-law Bill White.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Gary Christenson, Narinder Kaur (Sami) and Larry Christenson; his son-in-law Dale Heckendorf (Kathy); his grandchildren, Daniel Heckendorf (Selina), Nathan Heckendorf, Megan Erickson (Ben), Libby Christenson, Claire Christenson, Dacia House (Cody) and Kaila Heckendorf; his great grandchildren, Zooey Erickson, Ariana Heckendorf, Adalynn Heckendorf, Finley Ruth House and Deklan Erickson; his sisters-in-law, Lois White, Deloise Shutes and Darlene Aanderud; his nieces and nephews, Valerie Grube Trudy White (Rick), Kathy Savage (Dave), Dave Hoffman (Marian), Dan Hoffman (Sue), James Bowie (Marianne) and Mike Bowie (Kelly); his cousins, Gaye Dierks and Annette O'Connor; and his daughter Joni Heckendorf.
