It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty-Jo Birney (Rice, Washington), born in Chewelah, Washington, who passed away on June 29, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Birney; her son Thomas Birney; and her brother James Peters. She is survived by: her children, Susan Rudmann (Edward), Dan Birney (Mary Anne), Terry Birney, William Birney and John Birney (Gail); and her sister-in-law Lois Peters. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Promise in Brevard.
