He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosario Sims Poirier and Julia Ann Kuhn; his wife Thelma Jean Wise; his daughter Ellen Poirier; and his brothers, Vincent Poirier and Kenneth Poirier.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy (Chuck Hart), Pat (Erin Poirier) of Moxee and Tim (Mary Ann Poirier) of Moxee; his sister Mary Jane Brazil of Hanford; and his children, Mike Poirier of Yakima, Terry Poirier of Moxee and Kevin Poirier of Everett. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
