He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Bretvick and Louis Bretvick (Lud); his wife Helen Katherine Bretvick (Schiller); his grandson Jonathan Handy; his daughter-in-law Donna Bretvick; and his brother-in-law William Van Brocklin.
He is survived by: his children, La Conner, Lynn (Frank Handy), Karen (Richard Wright), Neil (Carolee Bretvick), David (Marrilee Bretvick) and Scott Bretvick; his grandchildren, Frank (Laura Handy), Richard Handy, Becky Handy, Michelle Hernandez, Angela Crossley, Amanda (Mikey Posch), Abby Bretvick, Melissa (Chris Gustafson) and Kelcy Bretvick; his great grandchildren, Clark Handy, Chayton Engelson, Mila Crossley, Alexis, Jacqueline Posch and Rainn Bretvick-Valtieri; and his sister Lorraine Van Brocklin of Stanwood, WA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
