He was predeceased by: his former wife Shirlene Belnap Fox; his brothers, Thomas and Edward; his brother-in-law T. Buehner; and his parents, Samuel Fox and Blanch South Fox.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine; his sons, Earl (Tracey), Brent (Robyn), David (Jama) and Steven (Debra); his stepdaughters, Angela Doscher and Kristina Elledge (Todd); and his siblings, Joyce Buehner, Richard (Barbara) and Charles (Sandra). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
