He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Smith and Walter Smith; his siblings, Wesley Smith, Frank Smith, Lowell Smith and Nora Brown; and his grandson Colton Thorstrom Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Smith; his children, Michael Smith (Nichon), James Smith (Lisa) and Shari Lukes (Kyle); his sister Emily Bartlett (Alfred); his grandchildren, Kyle Smith, Garrett Thorstrom Smith, Taryn Wood (Sam), Karlin, Kaitlyn Smith and Carla Bordner; and his great grandchildren, Madelyn Wood, Fox and Lumi Gordon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Colton Thorstrom Smith Scholarship Fund for River Ridge High School through Olympia Federal Savings, or a charity of your choice.
