He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Hill and Ruby Mae Hill (McKinney); his wives, Gladys Edwards and Lois Lee; his granddaughter Angel L. "Nikki" Allen; and his sisters, Virgie "Pat" Wright and Phyllis "Patricia" Johnson.

He is survived by: his children, Mark D. Hill of Macomb, Michigan and Marva Y. Hill of Beaumont, Texas; and his siblings, Maurice Coxeff of Vancouver, Washington, Marian Hill of San Diego, Cynthia Thomas (Andrew Thomas) of Vancouver, Cecelia Moore of Portland, Joyce Coxeff of Portland and Angela Moore of California. He is also survived by three grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
