He is survived by: his wife Kim Vũ; his daughter Julie (Stefan); his granddaughters, Eliza and Cora; his sisters, Vũ Thị Cúc and Vu Thi Ngoc Lan; and his nieces, Vũ Thị Ngọc Diệp, Vũ Thị Liên Chi, Bùi Thị Bảo Châu and Vũ Thị Mai Anh.
