He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Sloot and Jenny Sloot; and his siblings, Betty Kleyn and James Sloot. He is survived by: his wife Marie; his children, Richard Sloot (Brandy) and Amy Hodge; his grandchildren, Christopher Lewis, Shean Hodge, Aidan, Austin, Aryn and Adam Sloot; and his siblings, Herman Sloot (Elizabeth) and Grace Schrotenboer. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
