It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard S. Smith (Ferndale, Washington), born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on November 1, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald Smith and Esther Smith (Woody); and his sister Helen Bailiff. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Rick (Betsy), Jim and Kristi Baklund (Mark); his grandchildren, Tami Hagers, Jay Baklund and Cameron Henton; his great grandchildren, Ashley Hager, Markus Hager, Kyrin Baklund and Maris Baklund; and his great great grandchildren, Kyler Hager and Cora Hager.
