She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Dodson and Zena Dodson (Horn); her siblings, Evelyn Darlene Munn (Dodson), Virgil Merlin Dodson, Vernon Earl Dodson, Harold Leroy Dodson, Jeannette Stattner and Thelma Marie Stattner (Dodson); her son Donald Duane Smith; and her son-in-law Thomas A. Neumann.

She is survived by: her spouse John Raymond Smith of Bellingham; her sister Ileta Sharol (Dodson); her children, Ronald Dean, Marleen Smith, Evelyn Louise Neumann (Smith), Arlene Marie (Smith), Bill West, Raymond Lee and Cheri Smith; her siblings-in-law, Sarah Cummings (Smith), Kay Dodson and Steven L. Smith; and also, Stewart (Gary), Joan and John Stattner. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and, great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
