He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorraine Gillespie and Clifford Gillespie; and his children, Mark Alan Gillespie (Karen Gillespie) and Jennifer Alice Gillespie (Neil Morrison). He is survived by: his siblings, Norma, Gerald, Leone, Dale and Ruth; his wife JoAnn Marie; his children, Donyce Lynn Gillespie Ness and Robert Karl Gillespie; and his grandchildren, Brenna Joy, Richard, Robert Junior, Mark, Travis and Michael.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Choir at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
