“Dan was my first cousin. His mom Anita was my mom, Karen's, sister. I loved Dan and looked up to him and his brother Vince. I have been blindsided by Dan's death. There are so many things I would have loved to say to him. When I was younger, Dan took me hunting, duck and deer-we had a Blast and I will never forget those times. I would want to tell you Dan that I miss you and love you very much and thank you for being a great part of my younger life. I wish we could have had more time. I love you”

“Dan was my husband Darrell's first cousin. I had only met Dan a half of dozen times or so at various Hansen family gatherings over the years. Every time I met Dan, he was very sweet and kind and had a very charismatic personality. A mutual family friend described Dan as a true "guys guy". In meeting him, I totally see that to be true. I know Dan was loved by his family and those that knew him. I wish I could have known him better. I know my husband will truly miss him.”
