She is survived by: her siblings, Helen and Gordon; her husband Robert Smith (Bob); her close friend Gordon Johnson; her children, Jillian Hutchinson of Ontario, Janis Smith and Patricia DiRuocco of Vermont; and her grandchildren, John Hutchinson, Carl Hutchinson, Lynda Hutchinson, Luciana DiRuocco and Ciro DiRuocco. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and two great grand dogs.
Ruth was born in 1918 in Saskatchewan, Canada, during the Spanish Flu Pandemic.
