He was predeceased by: his father Floyd Charles Smith Sr.; and his brother Bryon Lewis Smith. He is survived by: his mother Emma Smith Sr. (Fenton); his son Cody Smith (Rochelle Sargent Smith) of Lincoln; his stepsons, Caleb Benedict of Houston, TX and Zack Benedict of Bristol; and his brothers, Paul Smith of Salisbury, Ronnie Ely of Nixa, MO and David Ely of Lebanon, MO..
