He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Cota Sr. and Gertrude Rheaume; his wife Shirley Draper; the mothers of children, Joan Cota and Cynthia "Cindy" Caswell; his daughter Patricia Cota; his brothers, Ronnie and Bobby Cota; and his granddaughter Marie Cota.
He is survived by: his children, Charlotte Prim (Rodney), Kim Woodard (Vernon), Timothy Cota (Kelly), Tammy Corcoran (Randy) and Pamela Davis (Bill); and his siblings, Rick, Jim Cota, Joyce Hance and Connie Lozell. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
