He was predeceased by: his father Almon Austin; and his siblings, Ruth, John, Doris, Mildred, Robert, Mary, James and Barbara.

He is survived by: his former wife Jeanette Austin (Jennings); and his wife Shannon of East Corinth, VT. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
