With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonard Edward Durkee (Hartford, Vermont), born in Norwich, Vermont, who passed away on June 2, 2019 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Durkee and Beatrice Durkee (Goodrich); his siblings, Jimmy, Heman, Gene Durkee, Dottie Sullivan, Irene Smith and Helen Hodgdon; and his great grandchild Brandon.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Durkee (Becky) of West Fairlee, VT, Terri Henry (Forrest) of Norwich, VT, Greg Durkee (Tina) of Dorchester, NH and Paul Durkee (Loralie) of Grantham, NH; and his brothers, Willie Durkee (Jackie) of Bridgewater, VT, Howard Durkee (Donna) of East Thetford, VT, Kenny Durkee (Diane) of Post Mills, VT and Roy Durkee (Charlotte) of North Thetford, VT. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
