He was predeceased by: his child Kathleen Bortell Stevens; and his significant other Ruth Roarabach. He is survived by: his parents, Seymour H. and Beulah Stevens (Burdick); his sister Martha Shoff of North Hoosick; and his children, Tracy Jr, Gene Stevens Jr., Patty Jones, Timothy Bortell, Terry Bortell of Florida, Mike Bortell of Pownal and Kenny Bortell of Middlebury. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
