She was predeceased by: her husband Harry Eugene "Blue" Shields, Sr.; her son Harry Eugene "Buddy" Shields, Jr.; her parents, Joseph Garrett Butler and Marian Estelle Butler; and her sister Lelia Merrill Easley.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Marian April Fabry (Joe Pollock); her great grandchild Justin Michael Hunt (Randall Blake Frazier); her brothers, Joseph Donald "Buster" Butler (Judi) and John Carter Butler, Sr. (Velma Mae); and her nephew Danny Easley of Yorktown.
