He was predeceased by: his brother Michael. He is survived by: his daughter Katherine Barksdale-Jackson (James) of Newport News; his grandchildren, Miracle and Evelynn; his sister Theresa Barksdale (Jim) of Williamsburg; and his parents, Lewis Barksdale and JoAnn Barksdale of Yorktown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
