It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jan Edward Payne of Yorktown, Virginia, born in West Point, Georgia, who passed away on December 6, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Verna Payne and Naomi Payne; and his brother Benjamin Lee Payne. He is survived by: his wife Terry; his children, Stephanie Harbin and Russell Edward; and his grandchildren, Avery, Aidan, Mason, Corbin and Adelle.

He laid thousands of bricks that would be the foundation of his childhood home in Lanett, Alabama.
