Hamilton Thornton Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hamilton Thornton (Yorktown, Virginia), who passed away on April 20, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamilton Garland and Lucile Harrod Thornton; and his wife Delores C. Thornton. He is survived by: his children, Donna D. Thornton, Garland O. Thornton Sr. and Hamilet W. Thornton; his grandchildren, Sharita S. Boone, Garland O. Thornton Jr. (Marietta), Chanel C. Thornton, Krystle D. Stricklin (Renard Sr.), Clinthque N. Thornton, Tiffany D. Jones (Devon), Taylor R. Thornton, Christina D. O'Neal (Miles) and Tyler W. Thornton; his great grandchildren, Renard J., Kennedi D. Stricklin, Du-Sean L. Bellamy, Jr., Dash T., Talia D. Jones, Gamyr C., Gamyl C. and Gunyr C. Thornton; his sisters, Theresa Borum, Retha Whitley, Deloris Epps (George), Joyce Thornton, Emma Thornton and Ruth Thornton; and his siblings-in-law, Howard Jacob Jr. (Barbara), George Jacob and Alice G. Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and friends.

Due to the current health pandemic, all attendees are to remain in their vehicles during the service.
