He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Farthing; his children, Fred G. Farthing III, Lance Farthing, Steven Wilson (Lourdes) and Lisa Ann Kimm (Larry); his brother Gail Farthing (Terri); his grandchildren, Fred G. Farthing IV, Ashley Farthing, Chelsea Farthing, Kerrie Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Meredyth Davis and Wilson Kimm; and his great grandchildren, Alex Farthing, Philip Farthing, Lashawn Donnell and Emerson Jo Davis.
