He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles M. and Mildred Atkins Wood I.; and his wife Doris Rebecca Hunt. He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Shreck (Billy) of Crewe, VA.; his grandchildren, Andrew, Nicholas Wood, Brandon, Kathryn Wood and Zoe Shreck; his brother Steve Wood of Edinburg; his niece Jackie Newton of Charlottesville; and also, Jody Miller and Woodstock.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Woodstock Christian Church, 109 S. Muhlenberg St., Woodstock, VA 22664 or Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA. 22601.
