It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jennifer Eileen Dede of Woodbridge, Virginia, born in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 3, 2023, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Lansing Hoover; and her pet Maverick. She is survived by: her mother Barbara Jo Hoover (Kraly); her children, Mitchell Dede, Isabella Dede, Sophia Dede and Gabriel Dede; and her pets, Goose and Claudia.

She adopted a World Wildlife Foundation humpback whale named "Salt" as well as a flamingo currently residing at the National Zoo.
